Foley mentioned this song on his show today – the bastid didn’t play it though. I think it’s the best ever summer song (I was very young when it came out and probably didn’t appreciate the subtle sub-story beneath the deep lyrics):

    Ha, that brings back memories!
    I remember my ma always getting very uncomfortable when that came on the radio. That and ‘lets talk about sex’.

    I have a funny story behind this song…. I bought it when it came out on tape so it could be played in Mum’s car.

    So there we are in and underground car park on holiday, me in the back with my Sister – Mum and Grandma in the front, and in the tape goes. From the silence of this very bleak and dark car park comes a voice……

    “I’ve been watching you….”

    I swear we all looked around before realising it was on the tape!!!
