    Does it matter if you don’t heat the cup before you have your coffee?

    2. Yes, it matters. According to Blue Coffee Brewing. You should warm your cup before pouring the coffee in; this keeps the coffee hot longer. In addition coffee should be brewed “just off the boil”, between 95-98°C. If the coffee is brewed with boiling water, delicate flavours will be lost. If the water is not hot enough you will not extract all of the flavour from the coffee, ending up with a weaker cup.

    3. Why? Isn’t it obvious? It’s proof that God has a sense of humour.

    Hello Mr Byrne. I find your stories unsettling- we have lead an almost exact same life… from bad school days, Galway (I’m persuming your from Galway) , to living in killester- we are even the same age. I wear glasses (sometimes) and have a manbag (I call it a mag). I fear I may be your doppelganger…
