Em, it’s ok, Darren, she died! My mother was an ambassador for Greystones too, she was involved in not letting them build high rise appartments at the Meridian Centre (she lived behind it). A friend of hers at her funeral said she’d taught him not to give up on his town. Greystones is gorgeous, and it’s getting fancy. I wonder what the harbour’s going to turn out like, though.

@Anto – Strangely, Grease is one musical I never enjoyed. It just irritated me. That said, I’ve still seen about 5 different productions of it.

Now that you mention it, I did really enjoy the Scrubs musical episode. Going to New York in September so hopefully catch something there. Can’t stand Grease though.

Grosse pointe blank is eminently written and exquisitely executed. One of my favourites of all time as well. Particularly as my 10 year college reunion is coming up soon. Will they believe that I’m a hitman for the government?

Musicals… I’m a big fan of the Rock Opera… not the Rick Wakeman prog rock but the Pete Townshend “It’ll take me 30 years but when I’ve finished this shit it will be amazing, but in the meantime Ken Russell could you make a movie of this bit of fluff I’ve bashed out on the piano” type of Rock Opera.
